Learning compassion skills and tools was the start of my healing journey. This course teaches valuable skills and techniques to be able to cope with and alleviate anxiety and depression, as well as developing skills to promote resilience and well-being.

It reduces anxiety, depression, caregiver burnout, physical pain and promotes emotional resilience, happiness, compassion and life satisfaction.

I will be running two free 30min online taster sessions in Jan 2026 so people can meet me and learn about the course. It will be a chance to ask any questions you might have and get to know me. The dates are:

Sunday 11th January 2026 11am and Sunday 25th January 2026 at 11am.

The Self-Compassion 6-week course consists of:

  • Training in mindfulness and self-compassion meditations
  • Learning self-compassion techniques that can be used in everyday life
  • Understanding the science that underpins this training course
  • Learning how to handle difficult emotions and relationships with increased ability
  • Learning how to replace the harsh ‘Inner Critic’ with a warm, supportive and encouraging ‘Inner Compassionate Coach’
  • Interacting with like minded people in informal breakout groups

FAQ
  • Will I have to have my camera on? Yes. During the course the cameras of the teachers and all the participants will be on.
  • If I miss a session will there be a recording? Yes. All sessions will be recorded and available for you to review at your leisure. The breakout discussion groups will not be recorded to allow space for small group discussions in private. Only group members will have access to the recordings.
  • Do I have to have previous experience in mindfulness meditation to attend the course? No. The course is designed for complete beginners or those that want to refresh their mindfulness and self-compassion skills.
  • Will there be audio recordings of the meditation so I can practice at home? Yes. Audio recordings of the course meditations will be available for download to enable you practice at home.
  • Is this course suitable for me? Yes. This course is suitable for the general public, mental health and healthcare professionals, carers, wellness coaches at all levels. No prerequisites needed.
  • Who Should Attend?
  • Anyone who wishes to learn (or refresh) self-compassion and mindfulness meditation skills.
  • Anyone who wishes to learn self-compassion skills and create an inner voice that is kinder and more supportive but at the same time is motivating and encouraging
  • Anyone who wishes to reduce anxiety and depression and cultivate positive emotions such as joy and compassion.
  • Anyone who wishes to learn ways to manage difficult emotions and create more harmonious relationships.
  • Anyone who wishes to learn new ways to live with chronic pain and illness

Who is this course NOT for?

  • This training is not a treatment for any psychological or physical illnesses and is not a substitute for psychotherapy or physical therapy.
  • This course is not suitable for those individuals who have recently experienced a bereavement and are still in the grieving process.
